The Bronze medal was won in a Team Competition (Aliya Garayeva, Dinara Gimatova, Anna Gurbanova, Zeynab Javadli) at the 28th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Patras (Greece).

Qualification for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Patras with maximum number of places of the competition program allocated per country. The Individual Program - Aliya Garayeva and Dinara Gimatova, Team in Group Exercises  (Vafa Huseynova, Anna Bitiyeva, Valeriya Yegay, Alina Trepina, Anastasiya Prasolova and Anastasiya Makarova).
