The first European Cup in rhythmic gymnastics was held in Baku, marking the debut of the cross-match format. Our group exercise team secured two bronze medals, placing third in the 3 ribbons + 2 balls routine and in the all-around.
Junior team members Ilaha Bahadırova (ball) and Shams Agahuseynova (ribbon) earned silver medals for their performances. In total, Azerbaijan finished the competition with 2 bronze and 2 silver medals.
At the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Budapest, our group exercise team secured a qualification spot for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
Our young individual gymnasts – Govhar Ibrahimova (hoop), Shams Agahuseynova (ribbon), Ilaha Bahadırova (ball), and Fidan Qurbanlı (clubs) – won the bronze medal in the team competition.
