From April 2 to 4, our capital city hosted the FIG Gymnastics for All Colloquium.

On April 2, the 15th General Assembly of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation was held.

From April 18 to 20, Baku hosted the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup.

At the European Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics, held in Luxembourg from April 16 to 20, our national team earned 8 medals:

• Mixed Pair Raziya Seyidli & Aghasif Rahimov – Gold in the Dynamic routine
• Men’s Pair Murad Rafiyev & Daniel Abbasov – Silver in Balance, Dynamic, and All-around routine
• Men’s Group Seymur Jafarov, Abdulla Al-Mashaykhi, Riad Safarov & Rasul Seyidli – Silver in Dynamic, Bronze in Balance routine
• Women’s Group Zahra Rashidova, Nazrin Zeyniyeva & Anahita Bashiri – Bronze in Dynamic routine
• Women’s Group Diana Mammadova, Safiya Babayeva & Firuza Gasimzada – Bronze in All-around routine

Notably, this marks the first time in history that both our women’s and men’s groups have won medals at the European Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics.

Additionally, our gymnast Aghasif Rahimov was honored with the “Shooting Star” award by European Gymnastics.

In men’s artistic gymnastics, Nikita Simonov was named the winner of the World Cup series by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).
