2016’s FIG WORLD CUP FINAL IN BAKU!
This year’s FIG World Cup Final in Rhythmic Gymnastics will take place in the capital of Azerbaijan on July 22-24. Thus, Baku spectator will have a unique opportunity to see the performances of eminent gymnasts from 17 countries of the world two weeks prior to the year’s main event - Rio Olympic Games.
26 gymnasts and 9 teams in group exercises will compete for the medals in the All-around within the first two days of competitions. Apparatus Finals will be held on the events’ last day.
There have been held 9 World Cup Series this year. A special award ceremony will be organized in Baku’s final for the gymnasts and groups taken the first places according to the best 4 results shown at previous Series.
A magnificent Opening Ceremony (22 July), directed by the Head Coach of the National Team Mariana Vasileva, as well as traditional Gala (24 July), where the young gymnasts - the future of Azerbaijani gymnastics to perform along with famous athletes, await the fans of Rhythmic Gymnastics this time as well.
Tickets for events can be purchased at the ticket office of Milli Gimastika Arenası (MGA, National Gymnastics Arena), as well as at "Bazarstore" supermarket (Khatai, "28 Mall"). Ticket prices range from 5 to 20 manats. A discount is available when tickets purchased for all 3 days of competitions. Moreover, students can benefit from special discount.
