The 29th Open Baku Championships & Open Baku Championship among Age Categories in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, the 8th Open Baku Championships & Open Baku Championship among Age Categories in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
About competition
A journey into the dizzying world of Artistic Gymnastics, benefiting from the inseparable unity of flexibility, strength, artistry and many other skills! On May 9 & 10, our gymnasts will take part in the 29th Open Baku Championships & Age Categories competitions in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, the 8th Open Baku Championships & Age Categories competitions in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics at the native place where Gymnastics heart beats in our country - “Milli Gimnastika Arenasi” (National Gymnastics Arena). A total of 53 (29 male & 24 female) athletes from Balakan Olympic Sports Complex, Zira Cultural Center, Ojaq Sport Club (Baku & Sumgait sections), Specialized Children-Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserves and Specialized Children-Youth Sports Chess School No.1 of Olympic Reserves of Sumgait City Branch of “Tahsil” Republican Sports Center will participate in this tournament.
At the Baku Championships, Women’s Artistic gymnasts will test their strength in the age categories of Seniors (born in 2008 and older), Juniors (2009-2011), Pre-juniors (2012-2013), while Men’s Artistic gymnast will compete in the age categories of Seniors (born in 2006 and older), Juniors / A (2007-2008), Juniors / B (2009-2010), Pre-juniors (2011-2012).
At the Baku Championship among Age Categories, male athletes will perform in the age categories of Pre-juniors (2011-2012), Children (2013-2014), Youngsters (2015-2016), Minors (2017). Junior (2009-2011) & Pre-junior (2012-2013) representatives of Women’s Artistic Gymnastics will also demonstrate their skills. Gymnasts at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics event will perform on Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Floor Exercises, while Men’s Artistic gymnasts will test their strength on Floor, Pommel Horse, Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars & Horizontal Bar.
The elements of jumping, somersault and rotation performed by the athletes will make dizzy impression who watch the event! Don’t miss the opportunity to witness an incomparable display of power and aesthetics.
