FIG World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling, AGF Trophy 2019

Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation prepares for the year`s first World Cup in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling on February 16 & 17, 2019.

According to the definitive entry registration, more than 200 gymnasts from 31 countries are expected to compete at the World Cup. It should be mentioned that 8 World Cup events qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games in Trampoline Gymnastics will be held in 2019 & 2020. And our capital will host 2 of the mentioned competitions (2019, 2020).

It should be noted that there was held the European Championships in this gymnastics discipline with a participation of 26 countries last year, as well as the World Cup series in the years preceded (17 countries in 2016 & 15 countries in 2017). The great interest in this year’s event is most probably caused by the fact that it qualifies for the Olympics.

The nominative list of participants for this World Cup will be known by the end of January.

Our country will be represented by silver medalist of the last European Championships in Trampoline events – Veronika Zemlianaia in the women’s individual trampoline competitions, by Ruslan Aghamirov, Ilya Grishunin, Oleg Piunov in the men’s individual and synchronized programs and by our European Champion (2018) – Mikhail Malkin on the tumbling track.

On the first day of the events, there will be a qualification followed by the finals on the 2nd day.

In the tournament, the traditional “AGF Trophy” will be presented to the gymnasts who received the highest execution score.

Tickets are available at the MGA ticket office as well as online (https://ticketing.mga.az/az/). The price of tickets constitutes 10 manats for qualification and 15 manats for the final day.
