2 gymnasts – Oleg Stepko and Petro Pakhnyuk represented the country at the Brazilian Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for the first time in history of Men’s Artistic Gymnastics of Azerbaijan.

In total of 6 exercises, Oleg Stepko qualified for the All-Around Final among the best 24 athletes at Rio Olympics for the first time in history of National Men’s Artistic Gymnastics.

Gymnast Marina Durunda performed in the All-Around Final within top 10 strongest gymnasts of the world at Rhythmic Gymnastics events of the Brazilian Olympic Games.
