Our gymnast Marina Nekrasova qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games according to the results of the All-Around at the 49th World Championships held in Stuttgart (Germany) for the first time in history of Women's Artistic Gymnastics of independent Azerbaijan.

Our representative in Men`s Artistic Gymnastics at the World Championships held in Stuttgart (Germany) – Ivan Tikhonov qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the All-Around.

Holder of the international judging Brevet, Rza Aliyev in Men`s and Women`s Artistic Gymnastics was awarded with the “Gold Diploma” in recognition of his “long term distinguished service” by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) within the framework of the 49th World Championships.

For the first time in history of the Azerbaijani Gymnastics, Murad Rafiyev & Daniel Abbasov performing within Men`s Pair among juniors were honoured with the “Gold” in the Final of Dynamic exercises at the 29th Acrobatic Gymnastic European Championships held in the City of Holon (Israel). The gymnasts won the “Silver” in the All-Around and the “Bronze” for their Balance exercises.

At the same European Championships, Abdulla Al-Mashaykhi & Ruhidil Gurbanli performing within Mixed Pair among seniors won 2 Bronze medals (Dynamic & Balance exercises).
