Huseyn Abbasov and Magsud Mahsudov won the Silver medals in the Synchronized program among juniors for the first time in history of the Azerbaijani Gymnastics at the 27th European Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling taken place in Sochi (Russia).

Our team consisting of Huseyn Asadullayev, Tofig Aliyev, Adil Hajizada and Bilal Gurbanov won the “Bronze” medal in a team competition among juniors at Tumbling competitions for the first time in our gymnastics history.

Another Bronze medal in Tumbling was won by senior gymnast Mikhail Malkin.

Baku has successfully hosted the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup. The World Cup was qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

For the first time in Azerbaijan, the 9th World Age Group competitions in Aerobic Gymnastics were successfully held.

In this competition, for the first time in history of Azerbaijani Gymnastics, Maryam Topchubashova won the Bronze medal in the Individual program among 12-14-year-old athletes.

For the first time, Baku has successfully hosted the 16th Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships.

Elchin Mammadov, Aykhan Ahmadli, Nurjan Jabbarli, Narmina Huseynova, Nigar Ibrahimbayli, Imran Imranov, Akif Karimli and Madina Mustafayeva, who represented Azerbaijan within the Aero Dance program, won the “Gold” at this Championships for the first time in history of Azerbaijani Gymnastics.
