At the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey, our gymnasts (rhythmic gymnastics, men's and women's artistic gymnastics, and aerobic gymnastics) won a total of 17 medals (8 gold, 7 silver, and 2 bronze).
At the European Championships in artistic gymnastics held in Munich, Germany, our representative Nazanin Teymurova became the first gymnast in Azerbaijan’s gymnastics history to qualify for the finals in the junior vault event in women’s artistic gymnastics.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva met with the athletes who achieved results at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.
