At the 29th World Age Group Competitions in trampoline gymnastics, tumbling, and double mini-trampoline held in Sofia, Bulgaria, the members of our national team won five medals.
Maqsud Mahsudov and Huseyn Abbasov won gold in the synchronized event in the 15-16 age category, and Ali Niftaliyev won silver in the individual trampoline event in the 13-14 age category.
Maqsud Mahsudov took third place in the individual trampoline event in the 15-16 age category, while Ammar Bakhshaliyev and Farhad Mustafayev won third place in the synchronized pairs event in the 11-12 age category.
In the tumbling competition, Tofiq Aliyev won a silver medal in the 17-21 age category.
At the 29th European Gymnastics Congress held in Albufeira, Portugal, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, was re-elected as President of European Gymnastics with 100% of the votes.
Representatives nominated by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation were elected to the technical committees of European Gymnastics: Evgeniya Vilyayeva (international judge) with 73.68% of the votes in rhythmic gymnastics, Inara Israfilbayeva (international judge) with 73.68% in TeamGym, and Ruslan Eyvazov (national team coach) with 68.42% in gymnastics for all.
From December 8 to 11, the joint competitions dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation were held at the Sheki Olympic Sports Complex.
The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation was awarded second place in the "Sports Federation of the Year" nomination based on the results of 2022 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The film "Health starts with gymnastics, and gymnastics starts with sports," produced by AGF, was awarded third place in the "Sports Film of the Year" nomination by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Representatives of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation were honored in various categories based on the results of 2022 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports:

  • Sports Federation of the Year (2nd place) – Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation
  • Best Women’s Team of the Year (1st place) – Group Exercise Team (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
  • Best Female Athlete of the Year (3rd place) – Zohra Agamirova (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
  • Best Coach of the Year (3rd place) – Siyana Vasileva (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
  • Sports Medical Staff of the Year (1st place) – Aydin Agaliyev (AGF)
  • Sports Photographer of the Year (2nd place) – Valery Khlyzov (AGF)
    Athletes from the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, who finished 2022 among the top ten in the Ministry of Youth and Sports rankings:
  • 1st place – Group Exercise Team (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
  • 2nd place – Zohra Agamirova (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
  • 3rd place – Ivan Tikhonov (Artistic Gymnastics)
  • 9th place – Nikita Simonov (Artistic Gymnastics)

The Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Nurlana Mammadzade, was awarded the "Progress" medal for her services in the development of sports in Azerbaijan.
