A festival dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation was held in Baku in the "Gymnastics for All" category.
National team member Tofiq Aliyev won the "All-Star Team" nomination, established by European Gymnastics, for the most difficult element performed on the acrobatic track at the 14th European Championships in TeamGym held in Luxembourg.
At the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships held in Sofia, Bulgaria, our group exercise team, consisting of Gullu Agalarzade, Leman Alimuratova, Zeynab Hummatova, Yelizaveta Luzan, and Darya Sorokina, won a bronze medal. This was the first medal in Azerbaijan’s gymnastics history won by the group exercise team at a world championship.
