For the first time, the European Age Group Competitions and European Aerobic Gymnastics Championship will be held in Ganja in 2025!
Yes, you read it correctly – the most prestigious aerobic gymnastics competitions of the European continent will take place in this beautiful city of Azerbaijan! The decision made by the European Gymnastics Executive Committee on September 6 presents Ganja as a new shining star in the international sports arena. This will be the first-ever European Championship in gymnastics held in our region. Thus, Ganja will welcome Europe’s most flexible and energetic athletes next year.

Alongside hosting this major event, Ganja will also be recognized for its magnificent history and culture. The city’s fascinating architecture, ancient streets, and hospitable people will make this competition even more special.
The Ganja Sports Palace, where the competitions will be held, was inaugurated this year. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the opening ceremony in April. The Sports Palace stands out with its modern infrastructure, ensuring the possibility of holding various sports events following international standards.

As a reminder, Baku previously hosted major Aerobic Gymnastics competitions, including the 2019 European Championships, the 2021 World Age Group Competitions and the 2021 World Championships.
This time, the European gymnastics wave heads to Ganja for the European Age Group Competitions and Junior European Championship on November 9-11, and the Senior European Championship on November 14-16.
