The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation is kicking off the new season of local competitions. The first event of the year will be the 9th Trampoline Gymnastics and 21st Tumbling National Championships and Baku Championships, traditionally held at the Milli Gimnastika Arenası.

Taking place on February 14&15, the event will bring together gymnasts of various age categories to compete for top honors.

In the trampoline competition, athletes will perform in individual and synchronized routines in the following age categories:

Minors (2016–2018)
Children (2013–2015)
Pre-juniors (2011–2012)
Juniors (2009–2010)
Seniors (2008 and older)

In the tumbling competition, gymnasts will compete in both individual and synchronized events in the same age categories. Winners will be determined based on the combined scores of two routines during the qualification phase.
