The representatives of one of the most favourite Gymnastics disciplines - Rhythmic Gymnastics, which embodies strength, courage and determination, alongside with elegance and art, will be the guests of our capital again.
Thus, Baku prepares to host the FIG World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics for the sixth time. 127 gymnasts from 26 countries is expected to participate in the tournament to be held on April 27-29, 2018. 44 of them will perform in the individual program, while 83 gymnasts will take part within the teams in group exercises.
The gymnasts, performing both in the individual program and within the teams in group exercises, will compete in the qualifications to be held on the first two days of the events. Qualification results will define the All-Around winners as well as Apparatus Finalists in both programs.
The strongest 8 gymnasts and 8 teams in group exercises will compete for the first place in the finals to be held on the last day of the events.
Moreover, the gymnast and team in group exercises with the highest execution score will be awarded with the traditional “AGF Trophy” in the tournament.
Tickets for the interesting and pleasing events can be purchased at the MGA ticket office, as well as at "28 Mall" and “Ganjlik Mall” shopping centres. The ticket prices for qualifications constitute 10 or 15 manat, while for finals - 15 or 20 manat.

Top 10 places to visit in Baku
Shirvanshahs’ Palace
Located behind the city walls of Old Town (“Icharishahar”) the Palace is just one of the oldest symbols of Baku. Built in the 15th century, just right at the time when Baku became the capital of Shirvanshahs kingdom, it is one of a few good remaining old buildings in Baku. In 2000 it was inscribed in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Maiden Tower (Qiz Qalasi)
The Maiden Tower is a monument that is shrouded in mystery and legend. The most majestic monument of Baku rises in the south-eastern part of the fortress of Icherisheher. This unique building of the Azerbaijani architecture does not have any analogues in the East. The symbol of Baku was included into the list of World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in December of 2000.
HISTORY MUSEUM
The building where the National History Museum of Azerbaijan is presently located was the dwelling house for Hadji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev and his family. The palace designed by architect Joseph Goslavsky, Pole by origin (1865-1904) is one of the most beautiful buildings of Baku.
BOULEVARD
The Boulevard is the must-see attraction in Baku. It is also known as the Seaside National Park and is the favorite promenade of many Baku residents and visitors. Its establishment goes back to more than 100 years ago. Guests are astonished by the city’s beauty and lighting system, a wonderful landscape design, shadowy alleys, comfortable cafes, many amusement arcades for children and adults.
ATESHGAH TEMPLE
The Baku Ateshgah, often called the "Fire Temple of Baku", is a castle-like religious temple in Surakhani, a suburb in Baku, Azerbaijan. Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu and Zoroastrian place of worship.
Heydar Aliyev Center
The Heydar Aliyev Center is an amazing building which represents the modern face of Baku. The building was designed by the famous architect, Zaha Hadid and is one of the icons of modern architecture, which really deserves a visit.
GOBUSTAN
Gobustan is famous with its rock drawings dating back to 40,000 years. This site is considered as the one of earliest inhabited settlement of people in Azerbaijan. In this ancient place you can see the activities of ancient people such as hunting and dancing scenes, carpentry and the images of animals on the rocks.
YANAR DAGH (BURNING MOUNTAIN)
Yanar Dagh is situated 25 km northeast of Baku. The reason that this place is worth checking out is its continuous fire, which never extinguishes. The flame derives from the gas reserves beneath the land and there are no pipes making it burn.
Bibi-Heybat Mosque
One cannot miss the Bibi-Heybat mosque as one heads south-past the lower tip of Baku bay; The modern restored mosque is a classic example of the Shirvan architectural school, having three domes following the traditional corrugated, galvanized iron shape of the old mosque and two minarets.
Azerbaijan Carpet Museum
Azerbaijan Carpet Museum displays Azernaijani carpets and rug items of various weaving techniques and materials from various periods. At the time of establishing, it was the only museum that was dedicated to the art of carpet weaving. It is named after Latif Karimov and has the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets in the world.
