Mingachevir City hosts the Open Azerbaijan Championship and Interregional Cup among age categories in Rhythmic Gymnastics
This time, representatives of the most graceful gymnastics discipline will gather in Mingachevir city. Thus, there will be held the 23rd Azerbaijan Championship and the 3rd Interregional Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics on November 18-19 in this city.
103 individual gymnasts and 9 groups in team exercises included into the age groups of youngsters (2006-2008), pre-juniors (2004-2005) and juniors (2001-2003) will participate in the two-day competitions. They will represent the "Ojaq Sport" Club, Republican Complex Sports School, Baku Gymnastics School, “Sarhadchi” Sports Olympic Center, Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, “Gomrukchu” Sports Club, as well as Sumgayit City Branch of “Tahsil” Republican Sports School, “Zirva” Club of Khirdalan City, Ganja and Gusar cities, Kurdamir and Ismayilli regions.
At the events,
“Youngsters” will demonstrate performances without apparatus, with a rope and a hoop;
“Pre-juniors” - a hoop, a ball, clubs and a ribbon;
“Juniors” - a rope, a hoop, a ball and clubs.
Following the individual gymnasts’ performances, the groups in team exercises will join the competitions. It is quite natural that gymnastics events, distinguishing themselves with high-level organization, exciting and colorful program, attract foreign gymnasts as well. This time, along with national gymnasts, athletes from Ukraine and Kazakhstan will also perform in tournament. On both days of the events, the gymnasts will make the spectators happy with their exhibit performances leaving behind the competitions’ stress.
