In Gusar Olympic Sports Complex was the 18th championship in Azerbaijan in rhythmic gymnastics.

In the championship of Azerbaijan Gymnastics in the two groups have been fighting 20 gymnasts in various age categories, transfers AZE.az.

Gymnasts compete in all-around, and for certain types of exercises.

In adult competition, held in an atmosphere of interesting wrestling, Alia Garayeva rose to the highest step of the podium. Zeinab Javadli won the silver and Anna Gurbanova - bronze medal.

A junior competition on Lala Yusifov, beating all her rivals, she won the gold medal. Lyaman Hajizade placed second, and Gulsum Shafizade - third place.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the event, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ismail Ismailov, head of the executive power Gusar Alkhasov Shair, Secretary General of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (PHA) Gaibov Farid spoke about state care provided in our country about the sport, praised the conduct of the championship for the first time in the region country's artistic gymnastics. It was stressed that the Azerbaijani gymnasts lead a successful fight in international competitions, and our capital was the scene of repeated representative tournaments in this sport. Highly appreciating the merits of the President of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mehriban Aliyeva won successes, who spoke pointed out that the sport is rapidly developing in our country.

Then, in the opening of the sector Gusar Gymnastics PHA. The Secretary-General presented the flag Federation PHA Director of Olympic Sports Complex Hussar Babek Hamidov.

The championship was attended by sportsmen club "Neftchi", "Spartacus", Baku Gymnastics School, athletic complex of the Republican school and the city of Ganja.
