The 18th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in rhythmic gymnastics among juniors
About competition
The 18th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship in rhythmic gymnastics among juniors will take place on November 18-19. 110 gymnasts, who will be divided into 5 age groups (born in 1996-98, 1999-2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003), will participate in the competitions. The sportswomen will compete for the medals both in the all-around and with separate apparatus. Along with the gymnasts of “Neftchi” and Baku Gymnastics School, Republican Complex Sports School and “Spartak”, sports societies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and “Sarhadchi”, “Zirva”, “Tahsil” and “Start”, sportswomen from Ganja, Sumgayit and Khirdalan will also perform in the event. The interest in the tournament is also aroused by the fact that it will for the first time be held on the arena of one of Baku Olympic sports complexes – in Shaghan coastal settlement. Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation already has an experience of holding of the competitions at different arenas, and, in this connection, it should be mentioned that the country’s last Championship was successfully held at Gusar Olympic Sports Complex. By the way, young gymnasts of this northern region of Azerbaijan, along with representatives from Shaghan and Hovsan, will demonstrate their Gala performances at the end of the event as well.
