Ìris Mist Magnùsdóttir, the lecturer of the course in TeamGym, the manager of the Icelandic National Team in TeamGym told Trend that she was glad to see the growing interest in TeamGym gymnastics discipline in Azerbaijan.

During the course, we talk about the existing rules in TeamGym which the coaches, judges and gymnasts need to know. There are athletes, coaches and choreographers among the participants of the course, and I believe that if they follow all the rules in this discipline, they will achieve good results. The Azerbaijani team has already participated in the European Championships in Portugal and made a good impression, the athletes have good flexibility,” she said.

Ìris Mist Magnùsdóttir also added that she was impressed by the city of Baku and she met many nice and friendly people here.

“I have a very pleasant impression on the visit. Admiration was caused by Milli Gimnastika Arenasi (National Gymnastics Arena) in Baku. The Azerbaijani gymnasts are lucky to train in such wonderful conditions,” an expert from Iceland emphasized.

It should be mentioned that Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation organizes TeamGym workshop for local gymnasts and coaches in Baku on October 24-26. The courses are conducted by invited experts from Iceland - Ìris Svavarasdóttir, Ìris Mist Magnùsdóttir and Helga Svana Ólafsdóttir. 40 people in total - the Azerbaijani gymnasts, coaches, choreographers are taking part in the courses.
