The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has been doing exemplary work in promoting gymnastics at the international level, so we can only thank it, senior coach of the Belarusian national rhythmic gymnastics teamLubov Cherkashina said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza.

"I think that the whole world can be thankful to the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. The number of gymnastic events hosted by this federation is amazing. The AGF is a role model for other federations. If you want to develop your sport with good international relations, do it exactly like the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan. It is the absolutely truth," she stressed.

"Baku has established itself as a comfortable place for holding competitions even before the 2015 First European Games. Everyone comes here with pleasure and understanding that whatever competitions are held here, they will be held at the highest level. It is important that the government supports this work, and everything supported by the government cannot be bad, since the aim of the work is to demonstrate the development of the country. All these factors help Baku very well to be one of the leaders in world sport," Cherkashina added.

As for the Congress, the senior coach of the Belarusian national rhythmic gymnastics team noted the importance of being ready for reforms so that gymnastics would develop in lockstep with time. "It seems to me that everyone  should only expect  the best in terms of  developing gymnastics. It’s important not to be afraid of change at the Congress, it's the only way of development. We should follow the international Olympic movement and further development. Therefore, I think the Congress should show that we understand the need for reforms and getting out of the usual formats. Gymnastics should be well-known sports. I’m not saying that we will ever reach the scale of football's popularity, but I want the majority to have favorites among gymnasts," she concluded.
