The FIG Men’s & Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup, which started yesterday, is being continued in our country. Today, on the second qualification day of the tournament, men’s artistic gymnasts tested their strength on Vault, Pommel Horse, Horizontal Bar, while women’s artistic gymnasts performed on Balance Beam & executed Floor Exercises. Two more of our athletes have successfully demonstrated their performances in the Qualifications & reached the Finals.

Our representative - Ivan Tikhonov demonstrated his program on Pommel Horse & Horizontal Bar. Our gymnast took the 6th place (13.933) and qualified for the Finals on Horizontal Bars. His performance on Pommel Horse was evaluated with 13.100 points and our athlete ranked 20th.

Our women’s artistic gymnastics representative - Nazanin Teymurova performed on Balance Beam & executed Floor Exercises. She ranked 5th (12.566) on Floor Exercises and reached the Finals. Our athlete ranked 24th on Balance Beam. Another female member of our team - Samira Gahramanova, took the 30th place (11.100) on Balance Beam.

It should be mentioned that on the first day of the competition, our athlete - Nikita Simonov - took the first place on Rings & qualified for the Finals.

On the tomorrow’s final day, there will be defined the winners in Floor Exercises, on Parallel Bars & Rings among men, while Women’s Artistic gymnasts will compete on Vault & Uneven Bars.

At the decisive stage, our gymnast - Nikita Simonov will demonstrate his program on Rings.
