From April 17 to 19, the Milli Gimnastika Arenasi (National Gymnastics Arena) once again became the center of a spectacular sporting celebration, hosting the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup. More than 150 gymnasts from 42 countries participated in the competition, delivering unforgettable performances and moments for the audience.
The three-day event featured qualification rounds over the first two days, followed by thrilling finals on the final day. During the qualification stage, individual gymnasts showcased their routines with hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon, demonstrating both technical excellence and artistry. Based on the all-around results, Ukraine’s Taisiia Onofriichuk claimed first place, Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev finished second, and Bulgaria’s Stiliana Nikolova secured third place.
In the group competition, teams performed dynamic routines with 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs, highlighting a high level of synchronization and skill. The Israel team emerged as the all-around winner, followed by Spain in second place and the AIN 2 team in third.
The finals brought even greater excitement and intensity. In the hoop final, Taisiia Onofriichuk won gold, Stiliana Nikolova took silver, and Sofiia Ilteriakova earned bronze. In the ball final, Darja Varfolomeev secured gold, followed by Sofia Raffaeli with silver and Stiliana Nikolova with bronze. In the clubs final, Darja Varfolomeev once again took the top spot, while Sofiia Ilteriakova and Taisiia Onofriichuk placed second and third, respectively. In the ribbon final, Darja Varfolomeev continued her strong performance to win gold, Sofia Raffaeli claimed silver, and Akmaral Yerekesheva took bronze.
In the group apparatus finals, Israel won gold in the 5 balls routine, Brazil earned silver, and Uzbekistan took bronze. In the 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs routine, Spain claimed gold, AIN 2 secured silver, and Bulgaria finished with bronze.
As per tradition, the gymnast and team with the highest qualification scores were awarded the “AGF Trophy.” In the individual category, the award went to Darja Varfolomeev, while in group exercises it was presented to the AIN 2 team.
Beyond the competition, the energy and enthusiasm of the spectators played a key role in creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere throughout the event. Interactive entertainment activities organized for the audience added further excitement, offering fans the opportunity to win various prizes.
