On March 19, the Open Regional Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics took place at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex. It should be noted that this competition was organized for the first time at the regional level.

Young athletes representing gymnastics clubs from the Absheron district, Khirdalan, Sumgait, and Shamakhi participated in the championship. The main goal of the competition was to support the development of gymnastics in the regions, increase young athletes’ competition experience, reveal their skills and potential, and further strengthen sports relations between clubs.

The competition program was organized across different age categories, including juniors, teenagers, and youth. The gymnasts demonstrated their technical skills, flexibility, and agility by performing routines without apparatus as well as with Hoop, Ball, and Clubs.
