The 31st National Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics and the 10th National Championship in Aerobic Gymnastics were held at the Yardimli Olympic Sports Complex on August 19–20, 2026.

Gymnasts across various age categories showcased their skills and competed for national championship titles. The Acrobatic Gymnastics competition programme featured various routines in the children’s, pre-junior, junior and senior age categories, including balance, dynamic and combined exercises.

On the first day of the competition, gymnasts performed balance and dynamic routines, while the second day featured combined routines.

The strong interest shown by spectators from Yardimli was also one of the highlights of the championships. A full venue, enthusiastic crowds and continuous applause for the gymnasts created a special atmosphere throughout the competition. The tremendous support of the local spectators provided additional motivation for the athletes.

In the women’s pair event among children, BGM 3, represented by Ilaha Ahmadova and Fidan Gurbanova, won the gold medal. BGM 1, represented by Madina Mammadli and Melisa Mammadova, claimed silver, while Madina Baghizada and Dafna Isazada of Neftchi 3 took bronze.

In the women’s group event among pre-juniors, BGM 4, represented by Ayan Hajili, Aylin Mammadova and Firuza Gasimzada, finished first. Aisha Alijanova, Janan Khalilzada and Zahra Aghaverdiyeva of BGM 3 earned silver, while Aziza Aliyeva, Nazrin Hasanova and Kamilla Tasoyeva of BGM 1 secured bronze.

The championships also featured exciting competition in Aerobic Gymnastics. On August 20, gymnasts competed in various events, including individual, trio, mixed pair and group programmes.

In the junior women’s individual event, Ayan Aghayeva won the gold medal. Fidan Ibrahimova claimed silver, while Amina Mustafayeva took bronze.

Ayaz Asgarov, Head of the Yardimli District Executive Authority, attended the award ceremony and presented medals and diplomas to the winners.

Overall, the two-day National Championships provided an important opportunity for gymnasts to demonstrate their level of preparation, technical skills and teamwork.
