Ranking list of Azerbaijani gymnasts announced

Based on the results of 2023, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has announced the names of the best gymnasts of the year.
At the top of the ranking is Zohra Agamirova, the bronze medalist of the European Championship, four-time silver and bronze medalist of the Summer Universiade, and a Paris 2024 Olympic qualifier.

In second place is our group exercises team, which includes Gullu Agalarzade, Laman Alimuradova, Kamilla Aliyeva, Zeynab Hummetova, Yelizaveta Luzan, and Darya Sorokina. The team has won a bronze medal at the World Championships, gold and three bronze medals at the European Championships, as well as two gold and one silver medal at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.

The third position is occupied by another group exercises team consisting of Govhar Ibrahimova, Sakinakhanim Ismayilzade, Medina Aslanova, Ilaha Bahadirova, Ayan Sadiqova, and Zahra Jafarova, who secured three bronze medals at the World Championships.

Our men’s artistic gymnast Nikita Simonov, who is the silver medalist of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games and a World Cup winner, ranks fourth.

In fifth place is our mixed acrobatics pair, Agasif Rahimov and Raziya Seyidli, who won silver at the World Championships and three gold medals at the European Championships.

Two-time World Champion in Tumbling, Mikhail Malkin, holds the sixth position.

Our men’s acrobatics pair, Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiyev, who won two bronze medals at the World Championships and three gold medals at the European Championships, are ranked seventh.

Women’s artistic gymnast Nazanin Teymurova is in eighth place.

Finally, Adil Hajizade and Tofiq Aliyev, winners of the team event at the World Championships in Tumbling, share the ninth and tenth positions.
