The 11th World Age Group Competitions in Acrobatic Gymnastics held in the Cıty of Geneva (Switzerland) has come to an end with the Bronze medal for our team.

On the last day of the competition, the Azerbaijani Women's Group consisting of Mansuma Mammadzada, Leyla Bashirova and Nazrin Farmanova (age group 12-19) took the 3rd place on the podium in combined routine. It should be mentioned that this medal is the first medal won by our girls in such a large-scale competition. This is also the first result achieved in the Women's Group program at the World Age Group Competitions in history of the Azerbaijani gymnastics.

Moreover, our Mixed Pair - Milana Aliyeva and Nizam Khamidulin (12-19 age group) were also among the finalists today. Our pair, which performed at the World Age Group Competitions for the first time, was away from the podium because of a penalty deducted from the score for the difference in height of our gymnasts. They ranked 5th in the decisive stage.

At the World Age Group Competitions, Azerbaijan also was represented by the Women's Group consisting of Zahra Bakikhanova, Leyla Asgarova and Khanim Mammadzada (11-17 age group), Mixed Pair - Mehriban Salamova and Sabir Aghayev (13-20 age group), as well as another Mixed Pair consisting of Samira Rustamova and Rauf Jabbarov (12-19 age group).
