The European Gymnastics announced its final decision about the European Championships planned to be held in Baku.

Thus, Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics European Championships were discussed at the online meeting of the Organization's Executive Committee yesterday.

After receiving the notification from Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) that due to the pandemic no large-scale events can be hosted in Azerbaijan until the end of 2020, the Executive Committee decided to move the competitions from Baku to Mersin, Turkey.

The date and format of the Championships will remain the same. The Men's events are scheduled for December 9-13, 2020 and the Women's competition will be held on December 17-20, 2020.

It should be mentioned that the events of Championships will not qualify for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
