Azerbaijan’s trampolining team performed at the World Championships held in the USA on November 7-9, the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation reported.

Four athletes - Ilya Grishunin, Ruslan Agamirov, Oleg Piunov and Sabina Zaitseva represented our country at the championships.

The fact that Ilya Grishunin successfully overcame the qualification and reached the semifinal of individual program at these competitions became a notable event for us. Given the fact that the this kind of sport recently appeared in our country, this result is more than satisfactory.

Head coach Vladimir Shulikin has commented performances of his students. "Of course, we have an aim to strive for. Championship showed strengths and weaknesses of athletes, so we'll try to catch up to the next start," he said.
