On December 29, the National Olympic Committee (NOC) at the initiative of the Fair Game Commission held an event devoted to the results of 2014, as well as an awarding ceremony of the representatives of Azerbaijan’s sports community who distinguished themselves on the principles of Fair Play.

Following the event, the awarding ceremony was held. President of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mehriban Aliyeva was awarded the prize in the "The Best Sports Personality of the Year" category. The award was presented to the Secretary General of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Farid Gayibov.
