The members of our Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team demonstrated their exhibition performances in Neftchala. Senior gymnasts in the Individual program - Zohra Aghamirova, Kamilla Seyidzade, Ilona Zeynalova, Madina Damirova, Junior gymnasts in the Individual program - Govhar Ibrahimova, Ilaha Bahadirova, Fidan Gurbanli, Shams Aghahuseynova & our senior Team in Group Exercises - Laman Alimuradova, Yelyzaveta Luzan, Zeynab Hummatova, Gullu Aghalarzade, Kamilla Aliyeva and Darya Sorokina performed at Neftchala Olympic Sports Complex. Harmonious and synchronized routines of our gymnasts highly impressed the audience. Before the performances, our athletes took part in a tree planting ceremony in the green area of the complex. This symbolic activity shows that sport is not only a friend of the body, but also of the soul and nature. On the day that began with the planting of trees, some kinds of new seeds were planted for the wider spread of Rhythmic Gymnastics in Neftchala. Increasing the popularity of sports, encouraging children, juniors & youth to Gymnastics and developing this sports discipline in the regions are the goals of the event. It was impossible not to notice the interest aroused by the performances of our athletes among Neftchala residents of different age groups sitting in the hall. These performances were also some kind of preparation for the upcoming European Championships to be held in Budapest on May 22-26.
