The season for international gymnastics tournaments kicked off with the World Cup competitions. After the first World Cup of the year held in Germany, the stars of world artistic gymnastics gathered in the capital of Qatar, Doha. From February 28 to March 4, our national team was represented by Nikita Simonov, Ivan Tikhonov, Samira Gahramanova, and Nazanin Teymurova. Nikita Simonov, who finished 4th in the qualification round for the rings event, lived up to expectations in the final, earning a bronze medal with a score of 14.800. With this achievement, our athlete repeated the success he had last year at the World Cup held in the same city. Ivan Tikhonov finished 9th on the high bar, 11th on the parallel bars, and 26th on the pommel horse. This year, Nazanin Teymurova, who is competing in senior-level competitions, improved her performance at this World Cup. Having placed 11th in the floor exercises at the World Cup in Germany, she finished 8th in Doha (12.066 points). She also placed 13th in the vault event.
