According to the relevant Code of Points of the next 2022-2024 Olympic Cycle, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) held the judges' exams for Parkour and Acrobatic Gymnastics on January 27 and 29 respectively.
Two Azerbaijani representatives in Parkour and eight in Acrobatic Gymnastics took part in the exams, held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each of our representatives has successfully passed the exam and received International Judging Brevet.
According to the FIG’s Rules, the Code of Points in Gymnastics are changed during the new Olympic Cycle. Therefore, the judges must confirm their brevet or upgrade it every four years.
It should be mentioned that until now, judges first took part in the judging courses organized by the FIG followed by an exam in order to obtain International Judging Brevet.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FIG has decided to hold online exams this year without any prior courses.
