Gymnast Marina Durunda qualified for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games according to the results of the All-Around Final of the 34th World Championships in Stuttgart (Germany) where she ranked 6th.

The Silver medal was won by Men's Pair consisting of Seymur Jafarov and Murad Akparov in Final Combined exercises at the 8th European Age Group Competitions in Acrobatic Gymnastics in Riesa (Germany) for the first time in history at this kind of event.

The Bronze medal was won by Mixed Pair consisting of Aghasif Rahimov and Nurjan Jabbarli in Final Combined exercises at the European Age Group Competitions in Acrobatic Gymnastics in Riesa.
