At the 29th World Age Group Competitions in Trampoline Gymnastics, Tumbling, and Double Mini-Trampoline held in Sofia, Bulgaria, the members of our National Team won five medals.

Magsud Mahsudov and Huseyn Abbasov won the “Gold” in the competition of Synchronized Pairs in the 15-16 Age Category, while Ali Niftaliyev won the “Silver” in the Individual Trampoline competition among 13-14 year-old gymnasts. Magsud Mahsudov took the third place at the Individual Trampoline competition in the 15-16 Age Category, while Ammar Bakhshaliyev and Farhad Mustafayev won the third place within Synchronized Pair among 11-12-year-old gymnasts. At the tumbling competition, Tofig Aliyev won the Silver medal in the 17-21 Age Category.

During the 29th European Gymnastics Congress held in Albufeira, Portugal, Farid Gayibov, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was re-elected as President of the European Gymnastics with 100% of majority of votes.

In addition, representatives were nominated by Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation to corresponding functions within the European Gymnastics - Yevgeniya Vilyayeva (international Brevetted judge) was elected to the Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee with 73.68% of the votes; Inara Israfilbayova (international Brevetted judge) was elected to the TeamGym Technical Committee with 73.68% of the votes; Ruslan Eyvazov (National Team coach) secured 68.42% of the votes and became member of the Gymnastics For All Technical Committee.

The joint competitions, dedicated to the 20th  Anniversary of the re-establishment of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation was held at the Shaki Olympic Sports Complex from December 8 to 11.

Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation was awarded with the second place in the "Sports Federation of the Year" nomination by the Ministry of Youth and Sports based on the 2022 results.
                            
 The film "Health Starts with Sport, and Sport Begins with Gymnastics," produced by AGF, was awarded with the third place in the "Sports Film of the Year" nomination by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Representatives of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation were awarded in various categories based on the 2022 results by the Ministry of Youth and Sports:

•    Sports Federation of the Year / 2nd place – Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation

•    The Best Women’s Team of the Year / 1st place – Group Exercise Team (Rhythmic Gymnastics)

•    The Best Female Athlete of the Year / 3rd place – Zohra Aghamirova (Rhythmic Gymnastics)

•    The Best Coach of the Year / 3rd place – Siyana Vasileva (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
•    Sports Medical Staff of the Year 
     1st place – Aydin Agaliyev (AGF)
     2nd place – Raif Refetov (AGF)

•    Sports Photographer of the Year / 2nd place – Valery Khlyzov (AGF)

Athletes from Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, who completed 2022 within the top ten of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ ranking:
•    1st place – Group Exercises’ Team (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
•    2nd place – Zohra Aghamirova (Rhythmic Gymnastics)
•    3rd place – Ivan Tikhonov (Artistic Gymnastics)
•    9th place – Nikita Simonov (Artistic Gymnastics) 

The Secretary General of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Nurlana Mammadzada was awarded with the "Progress" medal for her services in sports development in Azerbaijan.
