The Head Coach of the National Team in Aerobic Gymnastics Marian Kolev shared his thoughts about the results of the Azerbaijan and Baku Championships held at the Baku Olympic Sports Complex with the Press Service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF).
- It is gratifying that a large number of athletes is participating in the competition. I hope that their number will increase in the upcoming years. There are many promising athletes among the participants of the event. I believe that in the future, our promising pre-juniors and juniors will represent our country with dignity not only in Azerbaijan but also abroad.
This year, our Aerobic gymnasts performed at the World Cup held in Portugal and the international tournament organized in the Czech Republic. Our athletes won 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medals in the Open international tournament in the Czech Republic. In about two weeks, we will have the World Championships in Portugal. This competition will be attended by pre-juniors and juniors as well as members of our senior Team. I would not like to give a forecast on results in advance. I hope our athletes will be able to demonstrate their programs at the required level and defend their titles by performing successfully. Representatives of a number of strong countries in this discipline such as Romania, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria and Vietnam will compete at the World Championships.
