We present to you our interview with Bakary Badjie, Minister of Youth and Sports of The Gambia, who visited the National Gymnastics Arena.

We would like to hear your impressions following your visit to the National Gymnastics Arena.
– This is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I’m very happy to be here. I must emphasize that the infrastructure is excellent. Everything here is perfect. Great opportunities have been created for the development of gymnastics and for conducting training at the highest level. There are all the necessary conditions for hosting both national and international competitions.

Is this your first visit to Azerbaijan?
– No, this is my second time. I first visited in 2022.

Could you share the most memorable moment from your visit?
– You have very nice and kind people. They are incredibly friendly.

What are your thoughts on our young athletes?
– It’s worth noting that you have strong young athletes. During my visit today, I witnessed even more than I did in 2022. The athletes speak about the care and support they receive from the government. You return victorious from international competitions. This is a clear indication of how much the country values and supports its athletes.
