Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Azerbaijan - Rafał Poborski met with Polish gymnasts participating in the FIG Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus World Cup at “Milli Gimnastika Arenasi” (National Gymnastics Arena). After the meeting, the Ambassador shared his impression on the meeting and the World Cup in our country with the Press Service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.
I watch the competitions at “Milli Gimnastika Arenasi” for the first time. I must admit that the organization of the competitions, the level of participants is very high. I also met with Polish gymnasts here. We discussed the course of the competitions with them. Athletes said that our representatives have qualified for the finals and they would prepare for the upcoming competitions with great will. They also said they were pleased to take part here and eagerly participated in the events held in Azerbaijan.
Poland and Azerbaijan have strong relations in a number of fields. This spirit continues in sports. I hope that we will have such useful meetings in the future as well.
