The Press Service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) presents an interview with Adriana Timkova, a member of the Slovak National Team in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Adriana, welcome to Azerbaijan. Please give us some information about yourself to our readers.
I’m 19-year-old. I live in Slovakia but I was born in the Czech Republic. I have been doing gymnastics since I was 7. I was brought to this discipline by my parents. Although I came to the sport by chance, later, I achieved a number of successes in this field.
We would like to know your opinion about the trainings in Azerbaijan.
The main purpose of my participation in the trainings here is to keep my form and improve my technique with apparatus. Currently, the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic in the world is difficult. Azerbaijan has good training opportunities and professional coaches.
How do you assess the conditions at the Arena?
I really like this place. There are excellent conditions. The ceiling is high, there are many gymnastics floors, coaches, enough professional gymnasts to be an example for us.
What are your future plans?
I always had one aim: to improve and work harder on myself. That’s why, I came here. This year, my main goal is to participate in the Summer Universiade.
