The Press Service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) presents an interview with Nia Evans, the coach of the Great Britain Rhythmic Gymnastics team.
- Welcome to Baku. Please share your first impressions about our capital.
- Baku is very beautiful. I haven’t had a chance to see many places yet, but it’s a very amazing city.
- Please tell us about the main purpose of your visit.
- We came here to train. In August, a very important competition awaits us. We came here to take advantage of this opportunity, support of the coaches, as well as to prepare for the competition.
- Is that your first visit to Baku? What are your expectations from the training camp?
- Actually, this is my second visit to Baku. We visited Azerbaijan with the gymnasts during the World Cup. While I was here, I spoke with AGF Sports Director - Natalya Bulanova and she told us that we can participate in the training camp in Azerbaijan. I hope that our athletes will adapt to the training camp held here and benefit from all the knowledge of the coaches at the appropriate level.
- Have you had a chance to go sightseeing?
- Not yet, but we shall come back here in a few weeks with two more gymnasts. I hope I will have more opportunity to make myself familiar with city.
