The European Artistic Gymnastics Championships are being held in Zagreb, Croatia, from 13 to 16 August.

Azerbaijan is represented in the senior women’s category by Nazanin Teymurova, Deniz Aliyeva, Khadija Abbaszada, and Ayten Mammadova. Aynaz Majidzade, Lala Zamanli, and Leyla Mammadzade are competing in the junior category.

In the qualification round, Nazanin Teymurova scored 49.099 points in the all-around, finishing in 30th place. Deniz Aliyeva placed 62nd with a score of 46.366 points, while Khadija Abbaszada finished 81st with 42.465 points and Ayten Mammadova ranked 82nd with 42.199 points.

It should also be noted that Nazanin Teymurova secured qualification for the World Championships.
