Our athletes at the world championship

The 36th World Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline were held in Sofia, Bulgaria from November 16 to 19. Our country was represented in the competition by our trampoline athlete Seljan Mahsudova, a member of the Azerbaijani national team, and our tumbling athlete Mikhail Malkin. Mikhail Malkin, who won the silver medal at the World Championships held in Baku last year and the silver and bronze medal at the European Championships held in Rimini, Italy this year, unfortunately could not make the most of his experience this time in the competition of the strongest. He finished the World Championships in 14th place with 25,000 points.
Seljan Mahsudova, who made her debut at the World Championships among adults, ranked 18th with 50,290 points. It should be noted that Seljan won the silver medal at the World Cup held in our capital this year and was awarded the International Gymnastics Federation Cup based on the total points she collected in three of the four World Cups she participated in in 2022.
It should be noted that our young athletes are waiting for the world age group competitions in the aforementioned sports to be held in the same city on November 23-26.
A total of 17 athletes will represent our country in trampoline gymnastics and tumbling at this competition.
