The 2nd day of the FIG Trampoline Gymnastics & Tumbling World Cup in Azerbaijan came to an end with two Finals of our National Team. The European & two-time World Champion - Mikhail Malkin & the winner of the World Championships in Team competition - Adil Hajizada managed to attract attention. Our titled athletes reached the final stage by achieving the goal they set for themselves. In the qualifications, M.Malkin took the 1st place (58.700), while Adil ranked 2nd (57.100). Our other experienced members - Tofig Aliyev (55.800) & Bilal Gurbanov (52.000), who ranked 4th & 5th respectively, are also contenders for the Final. They will not compete in the next stage, because only two athletes from each country are allowed to participate in the Final.
Representative of Azerbaijan in Trampoline Gymnastics, who qualified for the Semi-finals yesterday - Seljan Mahsudova, unfortunately failed to qualify for the Finals, because she made a mistake during her routine. She took the 24th place at the end.
At the end of the day, athletes in Trampoline Gymnastics performed in the Synchronized program. Our Synchronized Pair consisting of Huseyn Abbasov & Nijat Mirzayev, who made their debut at the World Cup, ranked 19th.
