The Trampoline Gymnastics World Championship continues in Baku.
Today, on the second competition day, both the qualification and final rounds took place.
The finalists in the synchronized trampoline events for both men and women, as well as in the men's tumbling event, have been determined.
In the tumbling qualification round, Mikhail Malkin, the European champion and winner of the World Age Group Championships, representing Azerbaijan in this event, also competed. He collected enough points in the qualification to advance to the final, becoming one of the world's top 8 tumblers.
Following the qualification rounds, the first champions were determined in the initial finals.
In the women's tumbling track team event, the France team emerged victorious. Belgium and Great Britain teams took second and third places, respectively. During the subsequent award ceremony, the Russian Gymnastics Federation (RGF) team stood on the top of the podium, followed by the teams from Portugal and Spain.
The final stage continued with the women’s double mini-trampoline and the men’s tumbling track team events. In the women's competition, the USA team was the most dominant. The RGF and Canada teams secured second and third places, respectively.
The final event was the team competition in both the women’s and men’s trampoline events.
In the women’s team competition, the Japan team outperformed their rivals. The China and RGF teams claimed second and third places, respectively.
In the men’s trampoline team event, the Belarus team took the top spot. The Japan team finished in second, and RGF took third place.
Tomorrow, on the third day of the championship, two semi-final rounds and four final events will take place.
