From June 27-29, Azerbaijani gymnasts delivered outstanding performances at the 52nd Nissen Cup in Arosa, Switzerland, securing medals in all their events.
• In men’s individual trampoline, Ammar Baxşalıyev won gold with a score of 51.030, while in women’s individual trampoline, Samirə Hüseynova secured bronze with 48.130 points.
• In men’s synchronized trampoline, the duo of Ammar Baxşalıyev & Əli Niftəliyev claimed gold with 46.310 points.
• In women’s synchronized trampoline, Samirə Hüseynova & Ayan Şabanova finished in third place.
• Despite missing the podium in the men’s individual event, Əli Niftəliyev achieved a strong 4th place finish with 50.770 points.
Additionally, on June 28-29, Selcan Mahsudova represented Azerbaijan at the World Cup in Arosa, Switzerland. Though she did not win a medal, she achieved an impressive result.
• In the women’s individual trampoline, she scored 55.660, finishing in 4th place, ahead of strong competitors like Japan’s Hikaru Mori and Great Britain’s Paige Briolini.
From June 27-30, our artistic gymnastics team also competed at the RomGym Trophy in Bucharest, Romania.
• Rəsul Əhmədzadə participated in floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, parallel bars, and high bar events.
• Murad Ağarzayev competed in floor exercise, pommel horse, and rings.
• Both gymnasts achieved their best results in floor exercise, where Murad Ağarzayev placed 4th in the final with 13.467 points, and Rəsul Əhmədzadə finished 5th with 13.400 points.
