The National Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship successfully concludes

On April 25-26, the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and Baku Championship in acrobatic gymnastics took place, bringing together over 70 athletes who showcased their skills. Speaking with our gymnasts, many emphasized that this annual national competition is a great opportunity for them to assess their preparation, identify weaknesses, and improve, ultimately helping them perform on larger international stages in the future.

The competition featured gymnasts from the Baku Gymnastics School, Ocaq Sport Club, Neftchi Sports Club, and Specialized Olympic Reserve Children and Youth Sports School No. 13.

On the first day, athletes competed in balance exercises in the following age categories:

  • Little gymnasts (2009-2018),
  • Children (2008-2013),
  • Juniors (2006-2012),
  • Youth (2005-2010),
  • Seniors (2009 and older).

Additionally, children, juniors, youth, and seniors performed tempo exercises.

On the second day, participants in all age categories presented combined routines as per the competition program.

After the winners were determined, successful groups and pairs shared the secret to their achievements, stating that years of training together and growing to understand each other better over time have strengthened their coordination and harmony.

Looking ahead, members of our national acrobatic gymnastics team are preparing for three World Cups set to take place in Bulgaria, Portugal, and Poland in May. We wish our athletes the best of luck in their upcoming competitions!
