The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, qualifying for the Olympiad-2012, is going on in French Montpellier. Finals with clubs and a ribbon were being held the day before. An Azerbaijani gymnast Aliya Garayeva participated in both of them. She took the 4th place in an exercise with clubs and the 5th with a ribbon. With both apparatus, the gold, silver and bronze medals were won by Yevgeniya Kanayeva (Russia), Darya Kondakova (Russia) and Silvia Miteva (Bulgaria) accordingly. Today, the all-around final is taking place at the World Championships, where, along with medals, 24 gymnasts are competing for the Olympic Games’ 15 licenses. Aliya Garayeva is competing for “ticket” to London as well.
