The courses started on January 11 and would last for a week. 16 coaches are taking part in the Academy, which consists of both theory and practice. Two participants represent Bulgaria, one - is from Austria, the others - are local specialists.
The first Academy (Level 1) for rhythmic gymnastics were organized in Baku in January last year. There will take place examinations at the end of the present course as it was during the Academy Level 1, according to the results of which the names of participants succeeded in the Level 2 to be known. The coaches collected 65 percent of points will be able to take part in the FIG Academy Level 3.
The FIG experts include Katja Kleinveldt - the head of the course from Germany. Nadya Aleksandrova acts as an expert from Great Britain, Natalya Gorbulina - from Russia and Lasse Nettum - from Norway.
According to Kleinveldt, the conditions created for holding the courses in Baku are perfect. The goal of the courses - is to raise the teaching methods to the world standard. According to her, there are already coaches in Azerbaijan who has successfully passed different levels of courses. In German expert’s opinion, rhythmic gymnastics has already well-developed here. A week course being held in Baku, first of all, is intended for specialists with a little experience and gymnasts, who have finished their sports career and took the coaching path.
