There was held an international tournament in acrobatic gymnastics in Germany where a mixed pair from Azerbaijan – Eldar Huseynov and Jamila Ibrahimli - took part in.

According to the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, the representatives of the “Neftchi” Sports Health-improving Center demonstrated a quite successful performance having taken the 3rd place as per results of the mixed exercise. Our pair lost only to the floor’s host and Russian duet.

In the meanwhile, 6 Azerbaijani acrobats have been named the “World Class Gymnasts”. The corresponding document was signed by Andre Gueisbuhler, the Secretary General of the International Gymnastics Federation.

Such a high honor was given to European Champions among women’s pairs Ayla Ahmadova and Dilara Sultanova, as well as to the former members of the men’s group - Rustam Najafguliyev, Elnur Mammadov, Ilham Abbasov and Farid Mammadov - for their sports achievements.

Moreover, an international tournament in rhythmic gymnastics among juniors, where Azerbaijani gymnasts also competed in, has come to the end in Zvenigorod situated near Moscow. The best result was given by Jannat Mammadova taken the 4th place in her age group.
