The Volkov Cup international tournament in acrobatic gymnastics has completed in Russian Veliky Nofgorod city.

According to the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, Azerbaijani women’s pairs Ayla Ahmadova and Dilara Sultanova, as well as Parizad Guliyeva and Afag Maharramli took part in the event and won 2 medals.

The European Champions Ahmadova and Sultanova took the 2nd place losing 0.353 points to their rivals from Belgium – Tatjana De Vos and Florence Henrist. The 3rd place was taken by Russians and the 4th place by a duet from Belarus who is the World Champion of 2008.

As to the juniors Parizad and Afag, they won the 3rd place losing to their rivals from Russia and Belarus.

And the acrobats’ participation in the training camp is planned for June, on the threshold of the World Championships in Poland.
