On November 24, theoretical and practical courses for aerobics gymnastics at the 3rd level (for coaches working with gymnasts aged 11-13) were launched at the National Gymnastics Arena. A total of 8 coaches (from the “Ocaq Sport” Club and individual trainers) participated in the courses, which included theoretical and practical sessions on the development and improvement of artistry, choreography, and the methodology of difficult elements.
As part of the courses, Siyana Bojilova, an expert and aerobics gymnastics coach from Bulgaria, conducted masterclasses for the course participants. The Bulgarian specialist shared her thoughts on the development of aerobics gymnastics in our country.
"Of course, I am aware of the development of aerobics gymnastics in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani team won a gold medal in aerobics at the 11th European Championship and came first at the 16th World Championship. This year, I have watched the performances of Azerbaijani gymnasts. The athletes competing in mixed pairs are my favorites. As for the courses, the main focus here is on the complexity of the gymnastics elements. My colleague, Mariyan Kolev, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national aerobics team, and I are in close contact; we support and assist each other. I am always ready to provide help in this field,” the expert from Bulgaria noted.
